In 2011, when Christina Handasyde Dick MBE (then Bassadone) started Task Angels from a houseboat called The Bees in Chichester Marina, she could never have dreamt what it would evolve into within 10 years.

It quickly became apparent that there was a great need in the community, to provide support for those wanting to retain their independence, in their own home for as long as possible. Christina decided to take the next step and open a home care business in Chichester, and Guardian Angel Carers was born.

Over the past 10 years Guardian Angel Carers has provided care to 1698 households. That’s 1698 families that have been given peace of mind that their loved ones are being taken care of in the comfort of their home.

This year we are delighted to celebrate Guardian Angel Carers’ 10-year anniversary. On Friday 24^th June 2022, clients, colleagues past and present, as well as friends and family came together to celebrate this momentous milestone in the journey of Guardian Angel Carers. Graced with a beautiful sunny day, the luxury tepees were filled with laughter, whilst treasured memories and visions for the future of Guardian Angel Carers were shared by the people that have been part of the story so far.

Amy Baker sang songs of nostalgia, which added to the festive spirit of the day. Children were entertained by a magician and bouncy castles, played garden games and splashed in the paddling pool. The joy on 101-year-old Diana’s face as she arrived at the party with her CareAngel, her first outing in years, was a sight to behold.

Touching speeches and tributes brought tears and laughter to many, as memories were recounted and visions for the future shared.

Ten years into this wonderful journey, Guardian Angel Carers is expanding its franchise network across England and Wales, and many of the new business owners joined in the celebrations with their families. They will be brand ambassadors going forward, bringing the outstanding, compassionate care that has always been at the forefront of the company to many more people that need it.

We can’t wait to see what the next 10 years hold.
