Guardian Angel Carers has received some fantastic feedback from a local GP whom has praised GAC for their rapid response to a situation, and thanking us for preventing a more serious outcome had we not responded so promptly and efficiently. This is a wonderful example of how relevant our peace of mind service is in providing a pro-active and preventative approach to caring.
Mr Smith’s* family wanted reassurance that their relative had access to immediate assistance in the absence of family being close by. Therefore, Guardian Angel CarersPeace of Mind care package was arranged. The package includes provision of a careline pendant, a weekly welfare visit at an agreed time, and in the event of an emergency or a rapid response being required, a Care Angel will attend within an hour.
Mr Smith found himself in need of assistance when he was left standing in his home unable to move or reach for an aid to assist him. Mr Smith pressed his careline pendant and Lou, a member of our rapid response team was alerted and was on the scene within an hour. Following an assessment of his needs the Care Angel on the scene was able to appropriately act, ensuring he was given enough fluids, a home-cooked meal, and was left comfortable and safe. The Care Angel arranged for his regular carer to visit the following morning and notified his GP of the situation and to make contact to follow up and assess if he required further medical attention.
The carelinependant connects directly to a 24-hour monitoring centre in Chichester, where Careline’s highly trained staff provide friendly support. The great thing about the pendants is that they can even be worn in the bath or shower, therefore there is no need to remove them, so you rest assured that help is always available at the touch of a button.
