At Guardian Angel Carers York we provide high quality care in the comfort of your own home.
Owners Debbie and AJ have chosen the vibrant, market town of Easingwold to open their flagship office. It was a desire to make a positive difference to people living in North Yorkshire that drove them to open Guardian Angel Carers. “We are proud to care for people living all over the York area and our reach is far and wide, offering a trusted, professional, caring, compassionate service.”
Our CareAngels show dignity and respect for our clients at all times. When recruiting our CareAngels, we question ourselves “Would we want this person caring for our Mum?” We are proud to say the answer is always “Yes”. Our CareAngels undertake fully and comprehensive, nationally accredited training and are awarded their Care Certificate before providing you with the care you deserve.

Owning a successful financial services business, I found many clients wanted to know how to source high quality care as well as how to finance it. This got me thinking; has my mum got something in place when she needs care in the future?
I wanted to help people manage these concerns and this is what lead me to start a care company.
Guardian Angel Carers is a franchise that I knew would give us the support and reputation we need to build our own successful care company. Not only does its values align with ours, but it also has a wealth of knowledge and expertise that we can tap into as we grow and develop.
Since starting the business I have now completed my Level 5 in Adult Leaders, which has given me an insight into the Adult Social Care Sector.
I’ve always wanted to work in a sector that helps others, anything from childcare, to assisting those with physical or intellectual disabilities but somehow it never materialised. When I returned from Australia in 2021, I moved to a small village to be close to my Mum. I quickly realised that many neighbours were concerned about their health and care needs as they got older. The opportunity to open an in home care company with my big sister was exciting and fulfilling at the same time.
Three years later, I’m still as excited and fulfilled as I was on day one!
From a young age, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others. I began my career in care at just 17, working in a small 12-bed residential home, and from that moment, I knew I had found my calling.
Over the past 24 years, I’ve gained experience across a wide range of care settings, including residential homes, domiciliary care, specialist dementia units, one-to-one support for individuals with complex needs, and even a neuro-rehabilitation unit. I also cared for my own grandmother during the final years of her life as she lived with dementia, an experience that deepened my compassion and commitment to person-centred care.
Alongside hands-on experience, I’ve completed my Level 2 and 3 qualifications in Health and Social Care and continue to expand my skills through ongoing training. I believe that every person is unique and deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and empathy. I always care for others as I would want my own loved ones to be cared for.
In 2023, I made the decision to look for a role that allowed for a better balance between my career and family life. That’s when I found Guardian Angel Carers. They saw the passion and experience I brought to the role and supported my family commitments, making me feel instantly at home. I joined as their very first CareAngel, and in 2024, I was proud to be promoted to Care Supervisor and began working toward my Level 5 in Management. I am now honoured to serve as York’s Care Manager.
I’m excited to lead a dedicated team, ensuring that every client receives exceptional, compassionate care in the comfort of their own home.
