Our live-in care roles are varied, and we endeavour to match a suitably qualified, compassionate and skilled carer with each individual or family, creating a structured rota to ensure each home carer has the appropriate rest time, breaks and working shifts to suit their availability.
Carers have a private bedroom or sleeping quarters in the client’s home and have the full support of our local management team to coordinate stable, ongoing shift patterns with the right balance of downtime.
We deliver person-first care, so the specific tasks or duties involved in a live-in care position will depend on the individual but often include mobility assistance, support with taking medication, personal care, companionship care and general daily help such as collecting prescriptions or grocery shopping.
Live-in carers are invaluable to the people they work with. The right candidate for a vacancy must be personable, friendly, and patient, with the character necessary to support an individual in all the aspects of their daily life that enable them to remain safe, comfortable and cared for.
The companionship side of live-in care is also paramount. Where possible, we look to identify shared passions, interests or hobbies, where a carer can enhance the experiences of the person they support by encouraging them to engage in the things that bring them joy.
Delivering this one-on-one support is an incredibly rewarding role, and shift patterns can vary from 10 to 13-hours, with breaks and personal time built in.
