What is your role as business owner?

What is a Registered Care Manager?

An essential part of our service entails registration with the Care Quality Commission, England’s independent regulator of health and social care, or Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) in Wales. Registration with the CQC and CIW requires you, as the business owner, to be the ‘Nominated Individual’. Additionally, you will need a ‘Registered Care Manager’ whose role is the first for which you will recruit. Under exceptional circumstances, should you or your business partner have prior industry experience, one of you may fulfil this role.

Regardless, the Registered Care Manager will:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the care team
  • Facilitate communication between you and your CareAngels
  • Work to ensure that your business is CQC or CIW compliant
  • Collaborate with the other members of your leadership team to help you grow your business
