Olympic sailor Christina Handasyde Dick OLY MBE (Bassadone), is the founder of Guardian Angel Carers. On hanging up her sails in 2010, she established the domestic help company, Task Angels, on a houseboat in Chichester Marina, West Sussex.
As the Task Angel family grew, a number of family friends turned to Christina looking for support for their elderly parents. Christina recognised that there was a real need for a compassionate, professional, local home care company, so she founded Guardian Angel Carers in 2012. The vision was to provide companionship, tech and care, visiting, overnight and live-in care to the community.
Christina was presented the esteemed accolade of an MBE in 2022 for services to home care and voluntary and charitable services, Christina has used this recognition to reinforce the philosophy and quality standards prioritised by the Guardian Angel Carers group, leading to sustained expansion.
With my Olympic background I’ve always had a sense of “how can we do things better?”
