A practical guide for clients, families and our local community
At Guardian Angel Carers Lincoln & Newark, we know that good care extends far beyond the support we provide in someone’s home.
Families often tell us that one of the biggest challenges they face is simply knowing where to turn when they need help. Whether it is finding the right number for Adult Social Care, accessing support for dementia, arranging community services, or locating trusted local businesses, navigating the many organisations available across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire can sometimes feel overwhelming.
That is why we are delighted to introduce The Guardian Angel Little Book of Useful Contacts, a practical guide designed to support our clients, their families, and the wider community.
Created by our team, this handy resource brings together a range of essential services, national charities, community organisations, and trusted local businesses, all in one place.
A Helpful Resource for Clients and Families
The guide has been carefully put together to make finding support as simple as possible. Inside, you will find important emergency contacts, including NHS services and local Adult Social Care teams for both Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
We have also included details for a range of community organisations and charities that provide invaluable support to older people, carers, and families. Services such as Age UK, local carers’ hubs, Citizens Advice, and the Samaritans all play an important role in helping people remain safe, connected, and supported.
For families living with dementia or long-term health conditions, the booklet includes national organisations such as the Alzheimer’s Society, Dementia UK, Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Support, Parkinson’s UK, and the Stroke Association.
Our hope is that this information provides reassurance and makes it easier for people to access help when they need it most.
Supporting Independent Living at Home
As a home care provider supporting families across Lincoln and Newark, we understand that maintaining independence often requires a network of support.
That support does not stop at care visits. Sometimes it is knowing who to call if a lock needs replacing, where to find mobility equipment, or which local taxi company can help someone attend an appointment or social event.
For this reason, we have also included a selection of trusted local businesses that cover Lincoln, Newark, and the surrounding areas.
These are organisations and professionals who help people remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.
More Than Just a Contact List
The Guardian Angel Little Book of Useful Contacts reflects something we strongly believe at Guardian Angel Carers Lincoln & Newark: great care happens when communities work together.
Every day, we see the incredible difference made by charities, volunteers, healthcare professionals, local authorities, businesses, and family members. By bringing these services together in one place, we hope to make life a little easier for the people we support.
The guide will be provided to all new and existing clients, shared throughout our local community, and made available as a downloadable resource on our website and social media channels.
We encourage families to save it somewhere safe. You never know when a useful telephone number or piece of advice might make all the difference.
